The Baldwin-Woodville Schools are governed by a seven member Board of
Education which takes pride in providing the best education availble for
the children of the school district. The 1,300 enrollment is made up of
students from the villages of Baldwin and Woodville, and the surrounding
rural area. Greenfield Elementary School in Baldwin houses students from
pre-school handicapped to grade four. Viking Middle School in Woodville
is the home site for grades five through eight, and grades nine to twelve
are educated in Baldwin at the high school. Baldwin-Woodville has integrated technology into all areas of instruction.
Each school has a computer lab, plus additional computers throughout the
classrooms. A certified librarian and a library aide manage each of the
computer libraries. In the fall of 1994, the high school was hooked up to
a two-way, fully interactive fiber optic distance learning network.
Foreign language instruction at the high school is enhanced by the use of
a state of the art language lab. Due to the complex issues with which students must cope, the area of
student services has grown at Baldwin-Woodville. Each building has the
services of a full-time guidance counselor, and the district also employs
a district-wide Children-At-Risk counselor. Baldwin-Woodville has an
exemplary special education program at all three buildings. The caring
staff is complemented by facilities carefully planned to deliver student
services effectively. Information provided by Baldwin-Woodville Area School District, Baldwin, Wisconsin. | |||
