Welcome to 8th Grade World History!!
During 8th Grade World History students will take a journey through the past which will help them understand the present. Throughout the year, students will examine evidence surrounding the Egyptian Pharaoh King Tut's death, trace the route of the Black Plague in Medieval Europe, study the origins of the worlds oldest religions, and present information gathered about their favorite renaissance figure and early explorer. Students will also complete a National History Day project of their choice with the possibility of entering their projects into a regional competition. From the regional, student projects are judged and can move on to the state competition in Madison and from there to Nationals.
These pictures represent a few of the cultures we will be studying in the coming months.
