Mental Health Resources

Mission
The Baldwin-Woodville Area School District recognizes that mental health is a large part of our students' day to day lives. We strive to create a comprehensive mental health program that will foster supportive learning and teaching environments. Our goal is that student outcomes will improve while offering individual, small group, and district-wide mental health initiatives.

Diversity Statement

At the Baldwin-Woodville Area School District, we are committed to continue the conversation on diversity, to examine our policies,

procedures and practices, in addition to removing obstacles that contribute to systemic inequities. We understand that this will be a

marathon and not a sprint. The journey of systemic change requires time and action on many levels.

As a school community, we embrace students, teachers, and families of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, races, religions, and sexual orientation. Now, more than ever, we need to reach out to friends and neighbors to show compassion, empathy,

and understanding, which we all deserve. Take action in the form of slowing down, listening, and learning from those who have

different backgrounds and experiences. We will continue to listen and ask for support in order to make all feel welcome in the Baldwin-

Woodville Area School District.

What is a Mental Health Navigator?

The Mental Health Navigator does just that - they navigate our school based mental health services and help refer students and families to mental health resources outside of the school district as well. The Mental Health Navigator can offer support to your child by modeling and teaching skills such as coping skills, social skills, emotional regulation techniques, etc. They also work to help students build skills to manage their emotions and behaviors. The Mental Health Navigators are constantly working to bring more mental health resources and curriculum to the Baldwin-Woodville Area School District.
