The school district coordinates with an insurance company named Worth Avenue to simplify the process of purchasing Chromebook insurance for families that would like that service. It is not required for any students.

Changes in the industry are allowing us to make changes to our district Chromebook policy. One change is that new district Chromebooks will automatically be covered for all insurable repairs. 6th graders and Freshmen will receive those Chromebooks this year so there is no reason for those students to purchase supplemental insurance. For all other students there is one flat rate of $26 for the year. That provides coverage for up to $220, the cost of receiving a replacement Chromebook through the school district if needed.

The information below and Worth Avenue's flyer, may help you determine if purchasing insurance is right for you. If you choose to purchase insurance you will need to go to the Worth Avenue sign up portal (https://gpo.worthavegroup.com/gpo/baldwin-woodville) where you will be required to fill in your student's 'Other ID. The Student's Other ID can be found under the Student ID tab on Family Access. The opportunity to sign up is open through Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
