On March 23rd, our 1st graders in the classes of Mrs. Kittelson, Mrs. Stimmel, Mrs. Braml, and Ms. Warner officially hit the 120-day mark!
To celebrate being "Rock Stars of Learning," the kids traded their backpacks for glitter, fringe, and star power. Whether they went full Rock 'n' Roll or a little bit Country, these superstars have mastered 120 days of growing and glowing! 🌟
Check out our headliners in the photos below! 👇

She wore this gorgeous traditional Ecuadorian dress for the performance and looked like a star. A big thank you to Icela for sharing such a special part of her world with her Greenfield family. 🌟 (Pictured: Icela and Mrs. Steffen)

Mrs. Leque’s kindergarten class teamed up with their 5th grade buddies from Ms. Rodman and Mrs. Steffen’s classes for a special reading time together! 📚✨
It was so fun to see our youngest learners and upper elementary students connecting, sharing stories, and building friendships. Moments like these truly show the power of kindness, inclusion, and community!

Mr. Lerum’s 6th hour 7th Grade Literature class is bringing reading to life!
Students are diving into the classic Where the Red Fern Grows and using text evidence to map out the exciting “Ghost Coon” chase. 🐾🌲 From vivid descriptions to creative interpretation, they’re turning words into detailed visuals!
It’s been amazing to see their imagination and engagement. Sounds like this book is a hit! ❤️🖤
Great work, everyone! 👏📖

This month for our Spotlight on Produce, we introduced something truly unique: Romanesco! Even our staff had never seen this "alien broccoli" before, so we were all excited to give it a try.
Our student reviewer gave us the official scoop:
The Look: "It's really pretty!"
The Taste: Just like broccoli.
The Goal: She liked it raw but says she’d love it even more cooked!
We love seeing our students expand their palates one "spiral" at a time!
