During Number Corner, our learners explored measurement by comparing popsicle sticks and ten trains (10 connected cubes). We discovered that shorter tools require more pieces to measure an object, and longer tools require fewer.
Our big takeaway? We used more popsicle sticks than ten trains because popsicle sticks are shorter, and our bookshelf measured between 6 and 7 ten trains long. Of course, the room erupted with excited shouts of “6–7!” 😂

They’ve been having fun with their projects, and we’re excited to share some photos of the students learning and creating in action.
Way to go, Blackhawks! ❤️🖤
