Last week, we had a wonderful day hosting our rising 5th graders at Viking Middle School! 🎉✨
The future Blackhawks had an action-packed day getting a sneak peek at middle school life. They finally found out which House they will be sorted into for next year, took a grand tour of the building, enjoyed lunch, and wrapped things up with some fun recess time out in the sun! ☀️🏃♂️
We had such a blast hosting this amazing group and can't wait to see them filling the halls this fall. The future is bright!

🎺 Strike up the band, Greenfield! 🎷
Last Friday, May 8th, the Greenfield South gym was rocking with some serious musical energy! 🎶 Mr. Becker, Mrs. Lamb, and Mr. Bassak—along with the awesome Eckroth Music Crew—stopped by to hang out with our 5th graders for an instrument "test drive."
From trumpets to clarinets, our students got to try out every instrument they’ve been dreaming of playing. It was all about finding that perfect match before 6th Grade Band sign-ups! 🥁
We saw some natural-born rockstars in the making and had a blast watching the kids discover their musical side. The future of the Greenfield band is looking (and sounding) bright! ✨

Sunshine, snacks, and seventh graders! A group of our students traded the cafeteria for the great outdoors to join Mrs. Hawkins for a celebratory picnic.
It was the perfect way to soak up the sun and enjoy some fresh air. The highlight? A sweet finish with Freezies and Dove chocolates for everyone! 🧊🍫
Believe it or not, this was the third year Mrs. Hawkins has hosted this awesome tradition. We love seeing our students and teachers making memories outside the classroom!
