✨ GENEROSITY IN ACTION! ✨
On Friday, May 15th, Viking Middle School took its third consecutive trip to Feed My Starving Children! To get the entire school involved, our amazing students and staff spread out across all three Minnesota locations for an incredible morning of giving back.
The impact? Absolutely massive! 🌍❤️
📦 106,488 meals packed—enough to feed 291 children for an entire year!
💰 Monetary donations raised by VMS students to feed another 36 children for a year!
This was the absolute perfect way to highlight Viking’s theme for the month of May: Generosity. We are so incredibly proud of our students and staff for making such a life-changing difference for those in need!

Pastor Paul at Gethsemane Lutheran Church reached out to share a wonderful resource for our community this summer! Starting Tuesday, June 9, they will be hosting free luncheons for families.
📅 When: Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Where: Gethsemane Lutheran Church
🍕 The Menu: Tuesdays will feature a rotation of different meals, and Thursdays will be Domino's Pizza!
This program will run for the month of June, and if there is enough interest, they hope to continue through July and August!

Last week, we had a wonderful day hosting our rising 5th graders at Viking Middle School! 🎉✨
The future Blackhawks had an action-packed day getting a sneak peek at middle school life. They finally found out which House they will be sorted into for next year, took a grand tour of the building, enjoyed lunch, and wrapped things up with some fun recess time out in the sun! ☀️🏃♂️
We had such a blast hosting this amazing group and can't wait to see them filling the halls this fall. The future is bright!

🦅 7th GRADE ADVENTURE DAY! 🏖️🥾
Our 7th graders had an incredible day off campus exploring, learning, and hitting the trails!
The day kicked off at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, where students got up close and personal with Eagle Ambassador Angel and two other majestic eagles. They learned tons of amazing facts and even got to measure their own wingspans against an eagle's! 📏🦅
Afterward, the group headed to the beach for a scenic lunch by the water, followed by a beautiful 1.5-mile hike on the Maiden Rock Trail before heading back to school.
It was the perfect mix of education, nature, and community. We love seeing our students out exploring the world! 🏞️

It was all smiles as they traded in their pencils for paintbrushes to bring their bright creations to life. We are so proud of their creativity and hard work!

The students practiced their color theory by creating these incredible Ice Cream Value Scales. By mixing paint to create different tints and shades, they built these towering scoops to show how one color can transform from light to dark.

Last Friday, May 8th, the Greenfield South gym was rocking with some serious musical energy! 🎶 Mr. Becker, Mrs. Lamb, and Mr. Bassak—along with the awesome Eckroth Music Crew—stopped by to hang out with our 5th graders for an instrument "test drive."
From trumpets to clarinets, our students got to try out every instrument they’ve been dreaming of playing. It was all about finding that perfect match before 6th Grade Band sign-ups! 🥁
We saw some natural-born rockstars in the making and had a blast watching the kids discover their musical side. The future of the Greenfield band is looking (and sounding) bright! ✨
