Our 7th graders had an incredible day off campus exploring, learning, and hitting the trails!
The day kicked off at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, where students got up close and personal with Eagle Ambassador Angel and two other majestic eagles. They learned tons of amazing facts and even got to measure their own wingspans against an eagle's! 📏🦅
Afterward, the group headed to the beach for a scenic lunch by the water, followed by a beautiful 1.5-mile hike on the Maiden Rock Trail before heading back to school.
It was the perfect mix of education, nature, and community. We love seeing our students out exploring the world! 🏞️

Mrs. Stimmel’s 1st graders had a blast in art class! Under the guidance of Mrs. Johansen, these talented young artists rolled, shaped, and painted their very own clay suns.
It was all smiles as they traded in their pencils for paintbrushes to bring their bright creations to life. We are so proud of their creativity and hard work!

Reminder: School will be closed on Monday, May 25th, as we take time to honor and remember those who have served and sacrificed.

Our 2nd-grade artists in Mrs. Rasmussen’s class have been busy mixing up some "cool" masterpieces in the art studio with Mrs. Johansen! 🎨
The students practiced their color theory by creating these incredible Ice Cream Value Scales. By mixing paint to create different tints and shades, they built these towering scoops to show how one color can transform from light to dark.

Our elementary artists have been busy celebrating Cinco de Mayo with some incredible creative projects! It’s been a joy to see the hallways transform with so much color and culture.
👒Sombrero Style: Mrs. Yang’s 1st graders showed off their design skills by creating vibrant, custom-patterned sombreros.
🌵Cactus Creations: Mrs. Bohl’s 2nd graders brought some personality to the desert with their fun and unique cactus art!
Check out these smiling faces and their amazing handiwork. We are so proud of our talented students and their hard work in exploring different traditions through art! 🎨

Last Friday, May 8th, the Greenfield South gym was rocking with some serious musical energy! 🎶 Mr. Becker, Mrs. Lamb, and Mr. Bassak—along with the awesome Eckroth Music Crew—stopped by to hang out with our 5th graders for an instrument "test drive."
From trumpets to clarinets, our students got to try out every instrument they’ve been dreaming of playing. It was all about finding that perfect match before 6th Grade Band sign-ups! 🥁
We saw some natural-born rockstars in the making and had a blast watching the kids discover their musical side. The future of the Greenfield band is looking (and sounding) bright! ✨

Mrs. Braml’s first graders took their learning to the pavement to wrap up their second Wit & Wisdom module, "Creature Features!"
After listening to and reading about the unique features of rabbits, and many other animals, students put their skills to the test. Following step-by-step directions, they transformed the sidewalk into a gallery of furry friends.
Reading is fun, but applying those details to a masterpiece takes real focus! Great job, first grade! 🎨✍️

Our High School Forensics team just received the official State results, and it was a total sweep! 🎤✨ These students have spent countless hours perfecting their delivery, memorizing lines, and mastering their categories—and it clearly paid off.

On April 27th, Mr. Paulson (Mrs. Bennett's student teacher) brought in his WWII gear to teach the class about the significance of D-Day. From helmets to packs, the students loved getting a close-up look at history—and some even got to try it on for size!
Well done, Mr. Paulson! 👏
