Baldwin-Woodville Area School District Now Offering Online Driver’s Education Course
ONLINE DRIVER'S EDUCATION COURSE
Thank you for taking a look at our Online Driver’s Education Course! Baldwin-Woodville Area School District is proud to be one of the first Wisconsin high schools to offer a 30-hour online Driver’s Education course.
This course is approved by both the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT). It meets the 30-hour classroom requirement set by the Wisconsin DOT, providing students with the necessary knowledge to become safe and responsible drivers.
Key Details:
- Non-Credit Course: This is a non-credit course, but it fully satisfies the required 30-hour classroom instruction.
- Eligibility: Any student in the State of Wisconsin who is 14 years and 6 months old or older is eligible to enroll.

Information for the 2025 summer Driver's Education courses was sent to parents/guardians of eligible students on 12/02/2024. If you did not receive this information and you would like to enroll your child (especially upperclassmen) in the Driver's Education course, please contact Laura Hanson (lrhanson@bwsd.k12.wi.us or 715-684-3321.4101) in the high school main office.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Phone calls and/or voice messages will not be accepted.
Criteria for Driver's Education Registration is listed below.
- Students must be at least 14.5 years of age on or before 06/05/2025 due to school guidelines.
- If the child earns failing grades, they will not be eligible to participate in the Driver's Education course at Baldwin-Woodville.
- In order to be enrolled in behind-the-wheel with Baldwin-Woodville instructors, students must also complete the classroom portion at Baldwin-Woodville High School. Students will not be able to complete the classroom portion online or at an alternate location and expect to drive with Baldwin-Woodville instructors.
- Payment of $300.00 is due in full to confirm registration. Payments can be submitted at the high school office or via the online purchasing center. PAYMENT SHOULD NOT BE MADE BEFORE ROSTERS ARE POSTED.
